OUTPUT // Fedde Le Grand‘s Debut Album arrives in New Zealand
Summer is set to be full of good sounds with the arrival of Fedde Le Grand’s latest album, Output, which has finally hit New Zealand music stores, just in time for the OUR:HOUSE Supernova music festival, at which Fedde himself is performing live.
It’s been a long time coming, but the unique, sublime and cutting edge debut long player from Dutch dynamo Fedde Le Grand is sure to be one that won’t last long on music stands.
In 2006, Fedde Le Grand unleashed his award-winning hit ‘Put your hands up for Detroit’ onto the world, followed by the smash hit ‘Let Me Think About It’ – rocking dance floors and party-goers around the globe and ensuring his meteoric rise to global DJ superstardom.
Both singles were heard on dance floors across the globe and had amazing success in the dance charts and ‘Detroit’ was voted #1 summer anthem in Ibiza.
OUTPUT, featuring 11 brand new original tracks, and also featuring his three previous ARIA Chart smash hits “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit”, “The Creeps” and “Let Me Think About It”, will be released in over 60 countries,
If you thought you were in for 13 tracks of house music, think again; OUTPUT is diverse, infectious, groovy, electric, sonic, breath taking and more importantly, it’s just plain fun. . From Le Grand’s hip-hop infused outing with the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am to the brother-and-sister pairing of Andy & Dorothy Sherman on hit single 3 Minutes to Explain.
Mr. V’s Back & Forth is instantly recognizable having featured heavily in many of Fedde’s live sets and clearly makes up one of the album’s biggest dance cuts, not forgetting one of this summer’s huge records – the title track and festival banger – OUTPUT.
The world renowned legend of dance music is coming to our shores for one show only giving all Fedde fans the chance to hear tunes from ‘Output‘, from the music marvel himself.
The Ellerslie Racecourse will be bursting at the seams as hoards of music lovers pack out to get a chance to party with this global dance music superstar, when Fedde headlines the OUR:HOUSE Supernova dance music festival alongside underground French producer, Surkin.
“I feel that I have created an album that reflects who I am as a person, and not just as a DJ but as a music artist and overall producer. It might not be what you’re expecting, it’s not 12 tracks made specifically for the dance floor but for me it has been a real labour of love and I’m proud of what I’ve done,” says Fedde.
His newest hit single ‘Let Me Be Real’ – a song that has shot to #1 on the ARIA Club Charts is sure to be hailed as the newest jewel in an already impressive crown.
As if that wasn’t enough, ‘Praise You 2009’, a re-work with Fat Boy Slim, has exploded on Beatport where it currently sits at #1 in the charts.
New Zealand’s leading party promoter, OUR:HOUSE are behind the brand new music festival, Supernova, which is exactly what the name describes it - an explosion of sound, light, colour and genre. It’s a multi-genre, multi-room dance party spectacular – you’ll find a room for every sound from Electro, House, Nu Rave, Tech, Trance and Dubstep. In short, it’s a 9-hour epic event that anyone who has rhythm and likes a good beat won’t want to miss out on.
As well as the two sensational international acts, Fedde Le Grand and Surkin, there is a great line up of popular local acts including Tim Phin, Greg Churchill, Dick Johnson, Angela Fisken, Sam Hill, General Lee and many more.
“I can’t wait to get there! I always have a great time whenever I travel ‘down under’, I definitely don’t get to visit as often as I’d like to, for me it’s always a great party and I get a lot of appreciation and love back from clubbers whenever I play,” says Fedde.
Fedde, who shows no signs or desire of slowing down after touring constantly for almost the whole year is gearing up to give Kiwi groovers a night to remember before jumping the ditch to Aussie and moving on to North America for another tour.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” says Fedde of his impending visit to New Zealand. “Well maybe not the long haul flight! But I can’t wait to get there and really kick things off in the club.”
